Personally I like the simple, succinct label of "foodie." I love a well-appointed kitchen filled with gadgetry and drawers bursting with a wide variety of kitchenary toys. That doesn't mean I know how to use them all - not by any means. But if I ever find myself in need of a left-handed ginger-root paper-thin-slice-maker, by golly I want to have one on hand. (Ok, I'll use the mandoline in a pinch.)
